The Side Bets
As the name suggests, Premier Blackjack with Side Bets involves two side bets: the popular 21+3 and Perfect Pairs. Let’s explain the 21+3 side bet first.
The blackjack table will have a 21+3 bet area available where players can place their chips after the main bet has been placed. For the 21+3 bet, players are betting on whether the first two cards of their hand, combined with the dealer’s face-up card, will make one of the three-card poker hands. These include a Flush, Straight, Three of a Kind, Straight Flush and Suited Three of a Kind. Should they provide one of the five hands listed, the player will win the 21+3 bet, with the amount depending on the specific hand, as each one pays different odds (5:1, 10:1, 30:1, 40:1 and 100: 1 respectively).
The Perfect Pairs side bet can also be placed in the Perfect Pairs bet area after the main bet has been placed. For this bet, players will be betting whether the first two cards of their hand will make a pair of one of the following combinations: Mixed Pair, Coloured Pair or Perfect Pair. A pair is basically two cards of the same numeric value between 2 and 10, as well as the same value for Aces, Kings, Queens and Jacks. Should the player have one of the three combinations, they will win the Perfect Pair bet with the amount depending on the specific hand, as each one pays different odds (Mixed Pair = 6:1, Coloured Pair = 12:1 and Perfect Pair = 25:1).
