Leprechaun Links is a 5-reel, 40-payline online slots game which was created by Slingshot Studios, in partnership with Microgaming. It follows the antics of leprechaun, Spinny McWinnagin, in his search for that pot of gold which we’ve all heard about.
The game is easy to understand and to play, with all the necessary buttons and information available on the left, right and at the bottom of the screen. If you do, however, want to find out more about the bonus features, you can simply click on the 3 horizontal lines, which will launch a secondary menu. It’s a very high volatility game with moderate bet sizes ranging from a minimum of 0.20 to a max bet of 20 credits per spin.
The symbols follow the Irish theme of the game, and include a pocket watch, bag of cold coins, mug, harp and pipe, as well as the main character himself, which is the Wild, and four-leaf clover, which is the Scatter. Bonus Features
Now we get to the most exciting part of any slots game, which are the in-game bonus features. Even though the Wild symbol doesn’t really count as a bonus feature, it does have the power to substitute for all other symbols, except the Scatter or Coin symbols, to complete possible winning combinations. The Wild symbol will also appear stacked during the Free Spins feature. The Power Stacks™ Indicator can appear both during regular play and Free Spins, where one random symbol will be revealed to appear as Super Stacked for that spin. When 3 or more Scatters land anywhere on the reels, the Free Spins feature will be triggered, with 15 Free Spins being awarded and all winnings multiplied.
When 6 or more of the Coin symbols appear, the Link&Win™ feature will be triggered, and 3 respins will be awarded. During this feature, all the Coin symbols will be held in place while other symbol positions will spin again for a possible win. Any additional Coin symbol that lands will reset the Link&Win™ feature to 3 respins. The feature, however, will end when there are no more respins or when the diamond prize of up to 2500x the total bet is won. How does that work? Every Coin symbol that lands can appear as gold, silver, or bronze. While the bronze can award a prize of up to 20x the total bet, the silver and gold and award prizes of up to 100x and 500x the total bet, respectively. Should 20 Coin symbols land, the diamond prize will be awarded.
