Celebrity Plastic Surgeries – Success or Failure?
The most common plastic surgery procedures being carried out today in the United States are liposuction, breast augmentation, blepharoplasty (eyelid reshaping), abdominoplasty (“tummy tuck”), and rhinoplasty (“nose job”). Sometimes procedures are done to reconstruct normal functions and appearance. For example, a rhinoplasty can be done to help a patient breathe easier. However, other procedures are done for purely cosmetic reasons. Therefore, a distinction is usually made between plastic surgeries and cosmetic surgeries (a subset of plastic surgeries). Most of the celebrities here have had the latter type.
Rumors say Kim has had butt implants, a nose job, lip enhancements, a boob job, laser hair removal, and facial fillers. She denies some, but she did have Botox on camera and is a fan of some crazy ways to look younger, including having a “vampire facial” in which her face was injected with blood. In any case, her looks continue to draw in fans. And these fans definitely didn’t miss noticing photos of her seductively sprawled on a poker
table at the Casino Royale-themed 40th
birthday party of John Legend.
The Queen of Pop has now hit 60 and there is talk about her looks over the years. She launched her own anti-aging skincare line called MDNA as an alternative to surgery, but many says she has gone under the knife herself. Plastic surgery experts have noticed that her face has gone back and forth between wrinkled and tightened many times – signs of regular temporary facial fillers to give a younger and smoother look. Due to her relative lack of lines around her mouth, frequent Botox injections are also likely. She may also have had an eye lift to get rid of sagging eyelids as a top cosmetic doctor named an eyelift procedure after her. She seems to be trying to stay young and it isn’t necessarily a good luck.
Word is Lady Gaga has had at least one rhinoplasty. In 2009 she was already showing signs of a narrower nose. Then in 2013 a bump she had on her nose disappeared, although apparently there are injections to give a temporarily straight nose. 2017 saw an even different nose. The consensus is that she has had cosmetic work on her nose, surgical or fillers, and that her nose looks better now than when she started her career. At least one cosmetic surgeon has also pointed out fuller cheeks and chin, all that nicely round out her face and make her look lovelier.
American singer and former Nickelodeon teen star Ariana Grande appears to have had an eyebrow lift to make her face look a bit more feminine than before. Another visible change? Her nose is streamlined and more refined than her beginning days.

Sex-symbol and Transformers star Megan Fox denies she has ever had plastic surgery, but rumors abound about a nose job, boob job, Botox, lip fillers, and liposuction. The only of these to which she had an explicit response? Her lips, which she claims are “hers.” In any case, fans cannot get enough of her gorgeous looks.

The 31-year-old American actor had a nose job before he even became famous with High School Musical. When comparing photos of him before and after, it is obvious his nose is thinner than before. He also had a gap in his top front teeth corrected and appears to have had some work done on his cheekbones. Whatever he has had done, it has been a success as he is a Hollywood heartthrob.
Canadian actor Ryan Gosling had at least one rhinoplasty done to get rid of his hooked nose. At the beginning of his career his nose had a visible hump and the tip curved up, but at least one well-done surgery has made his face into the chiseled beauty it is today.
Juventus player Cristiano Ronaldo may only be 34, but there have been signs since 2013 that he has been having some extra help to stay one of the most well-groomed celebs. In 2013 he showed signs of a receding hairline, but at his next public appearance? Gone. Hair transplant? There have also been signs of him having Botox around his eyes and forehead and perhaps even a little tweak to his nose.

Tom Cruise is certainly older now and things do change when we age, but his bloated, mask-like face versus his old chiseled look? Dermal fillers for sure. The process involves injecting hyaluronic acid into the lines around the nose and mouth to minimalize wrinkles and is the second most popular treatment today behind Botox. Tom, you should stop and age gracefully.

The one celebrity on this list we know for certain has gone under the knife is Caitlyn (formerly Bruce) Jenner. She confirmed she had gender reassignment surgery in 2017, but also had breast augmentation and facial feminization surgery. The latter involved having her brow lifted and jawbone shaved – a 10-hour $70,000 procedure! The cost of all of her surgeries were worth it as she is now happier with her outer appearance.
