This month is very exciting for all new gadget lovers. Apple have revealed the release of new Airpods Pro. These gorgeous ear buds is their ability to continuously adapt to the geometry of the ear, which helps to block out the ambient noise while you are enjoying your music or your favourite online pokies New Zealand games! The AirPods Pro mark a new step in cutting edge technology, developed by Apple. They offer some brilliant features, such as Active Noise Cancellation, designed for immersive sound, Transparency mode for hearing what’s happening around you (brilliant in commute traffic), customisable fit for comfortable all-day use, and brilliant audio quality.
But what of the alternatives, if you want something a little different? There are several options available to you, depending on what tech gadgets you are using for gaming. The options range from the older models of AirPods to generic Bluetooth earbuds, to truly luxurious earbuds, designed by Samsung for Louis Vitton. We hope you enjoy this review!
Xiaomi Redmi AirDots: Gaming Rating 4/5
These little earbuds are a surprisingly good find! Their look is minimal, but they are light and comfortable to wear. The sound quality is quite decent, good both for music and gaming. They connect via Bluetooth to any Bluetooth-enabled device and have very decent battery life – 14-15 hours! They are inexpensive but work very well in any situation. They are a good match for gaming and basic music listening, as they can connect to any Bluetooth-enabled device.
I50000 tws: Gaming Rating 4/5
On the other end of the spectrum, there are the fake AirPod models – and I50000 is hands down the best one around. This little gadget comes with brilliant Bluetooth connectivity, wireless charging, smart sensor in-ear check, superb bass and sound quality, and even the battery life is pretty good, about 3.5-4 hours. They can connect natively over Bluetooth to any gaming console, Apple or Android smartphones. These earbuds are a good, all-rounder choice.
Galaxy Buds: Gaming Rating 3.5/5
Since the release of Apple AirPods, many other companies have jumped on-board, including Samsung, which made wireless headphones. These were made specifically to work with the Galaxy line of smartphones. They can also work with other Android devices, but not with Apple products or gaming consoles. The sound quality is pretty good, but the microphone quality for phone calls is disappointing. However, the sound quality for gaming is quite good, so if you have an Android device, these are a solid choice.

If you don’t want to shell out for a pair of AirPods pro, there is always their simpler and cheaper brother – the regular AirPods. These little guys offer great connection with your iPhone, and they are very portable. The battery life is improved too, compared to the earlier models. Compared to the AirPods Pro, the in-ear fit is not as luxuriously comfortable, but they are still one of the best wireless earbuds around. You can connect the AirPods with all Apple products, but they are not going to work with Android devices or gaming consoles.
AirPod RefurbishedGaming Rating 3/5
If you don’t want to shell out for the new version either, there is always the alternative – refurbished AirPods! They are usually an older model release, but they can be obtained at a significantly cheaper price. As they are a genuine Apple product, they are super easy to pair with your iPhone or iPad and will work great in any urban environment. Same as the new AirPods, they are an Apple-only device.
Louis Vuitton Airpods: Gaming Rating 3/5
It’s like Samsung lost sight of the necessities and opted to pack these little headphones with just the luxuries instead. Wireless charging and a small case with beautiful design are great, but what we feel is more important is great audio and microphone quality. These, unfortunately, disappoint, and the cost is ridiculous – almost $1000! The battery line is somewhat poor, too – only about 3.5 hours. We like the idea of these earbuds, but at the selling price… we think we are going to pass!
So, as you can see, there are several options available to you, if you decide to ditch your gaming headset and switch to small, minimalist earbuds. Some of these models will work well only with Apple devices, but there are generic alternatives as well. Ultimately, we can say that using Redmi AirDots or I50000 tws for gaming are a novel and very comfortable choice.
